Pontoon 2:1·5-card trick·8 Decks

Pontoon Trainer

This trainer grades twist, stick, and buy against the Pontoon chart.

How it differs from standard blackjack

  • No hole card. Hard 14 or less must twist.
  • A wrong move is marked against the Pontoon chart, not the standard S17 grid.

Rules at this table

  • Eight decks. A pontoon and a five-card trick pay 2 to 1.
  • You can buy on two, three, or four cards.
  • You can drill hard 15 or more, soft hands, and pairs. Hard 14 or less must twist.

Useful to know

  • Twist is hit. Stick is stand. Buy is double.
  • Learn regular blackjack first, then treat this as a second game.
