Double attack·No 10s·Player 21 wins

Double Attack Blackjack

Double Attack is Spanish 21 with one extra decision after the first card. You see that card and the dealer upcard, then you may match the bet before the rest of the hand is dealt.

How it differs from standard blackjack

  • Same Spanish decks and player-21-always-wins rules as Spanish 21.
  • After the first card and the dealer upcard, Attack matches the original bet. Play keeps the original bet only.
  • If the dealer then has a blackjack, the original bet loses and the attack bet comes back.
  • Eight decks. Use the Double Attack chart, not the standard S17 grid.

Rules at this table

  • Eight Spanish decks. The dealer hits soft 17 and peeks.
  • Attack or Play after the first card. Then the hand plays as Spanish 21.
  • Player 21 always wins. Long 21s pay the same bonuses as Spanish 21: 3 to 2, 2 to 1, then 3 to 1.
  • Late surrender is available after the full deal.

Useful to know

  • Attack with an ace or 10 against 2-10, a 9 against 4-6, or an 8 against 5-6. Then play the Spanish 21 grid.
  • The extra bet is not a double. You still decide hit, stand, and double after both cards are out.
