Switch·Dealer 22 pushes·BJ 1:1

Blackjack Switch

Blackjack Switch deals you two hands. After the deal you may swap the second cards, then play each hand as usual.

How it differs from standard blackjack

  • Two hands from the start. The extra skill is whether to switch.
  • A dealer 22 does not bust. It pushes every hand that is not a blackjack.
  • Blackjack pays 1 to 1. No splits. The dealer hits soft 17. Six decks.
  • Use the Switch chart. First decide Switch or Keep, then play each hand.

Rules at this table

  • Six decks. You are dealt two two-card hands and one dealer upcard.
  • Switch or keep, then play the first hand, then the second. You cannot split.
  • Dealer 22 is a push. Blackjack pays even money.
  • The dealer hits soft 17.

Useful to know

  • Switch when it creates more blackjacks or hard 20s than you already have. The dealer-22 push is the house main take-back.
  • The trainer grades Switch vs Keep first, then every later decision on each hand.
