Gambling addiction is not a lack of willpower and it is not a system you failed to learn. It is a pattern that keeps going after the money, the sleep, and the people around you have started to pay for it.

Signs it has stopped being a game

The money is someone else's
Rent, food, a loan, or money you told yourself you would not touch. If the stake is a bill, stop.
You hide it
A second account, a deleted history, or a story about where the money went. Secrecy is part of the pattern.
You chase
The next session is there to win back the last one. The amount goes up because the loss feels unfinished.
You cannot stop when you said you would
The limit was real until you crossed it. Then it moved. That is the point to get help, not the point to prove you can handle one more hour.

Who to call

Barring yourself

You can ask an operator that holds a Slovenian concession to bar you from gambling for 6 months to 3 years. You cannot cancel that bar early. You file it in person at a casino or a gaming hall, or, after you have registered, with an online operator that holds a concession. The Financial Administration sends it to the other concession holders.

The bar covers casinos, gaming halls, and online gambling run under a Slovenian concession, across Slovenia. It does not close an account at a casino that does not use that list. Ask that casino to close the account as well. The Financial Administration explains the steps at fu.gov.si.

Questions

Do I have to be sure before I call?

No. Call 040 88 99 18 if gambling is costing you money, sleep, work, or a relationship. You do not need a diagnosis to ask for a conversation.

Can I call about someone else?

Yes. Mladi Hazarder will talk to someone close to a player. You still cannot file a bar for them. Only they can do that.

Can Black-Jack.Net close a casino account for me?
